Songs that don’t suck

// February 23rd, 2012 // No Comments » // Nothing In Particular

This should probably be a page. Maybe I’ll come back and edit it. Maybe not. Maybe I will turn it into a page. Maybe I will throw it all into a pretty database table. Maybe. Maybe not. Anyway. Songs that don’t suck.

Obviously, this is not a comprehensive list.

I’m Lost Without You – Blink 182 (umm of course they topped the list)
Bleed – Hot Chelle Rae
I Will Follow You Into the Dark – Death Cab for Cutie
Pieces – Sum 41 (yeah, what, can I not listen to Sum 41? Am I that old?!)
Man Overboard – Blink 182
…and Online Songs, Up All Night, Ghost on the Dance Floor, Reckless Abandon
I Will Buy You a New Life – Everclear
Everything to Everyone – Everclear
Santa-f’ckin-Monica – Everclear
Almost Lover – A Fine Frenzy
When I Grow Up – Garbage
Calypso – Spiderbait
This is War – 30 Seconds to Mars
Sugar, We’re Goin’ Down – Fall Out Boy
The Anthem – Good Charlotte (cause I really don’t wanna be you…)
Memory – Sugarcult
Everything’s Magic – Angels & Airwaves

…to be continued…

Remind me to delete that.

Apparently Madison is channeling her inner-”Good Luck Charlie”-and creating a video diary for Lexxie. That sounds really sweet and awesome…right? Wrong. At least when I’m walking around the house with disheveled hair and a lack of sleep not-so-proudly displayed on my face. Sheesh kid. I told her to “remind me to delete that” and she said “its not like its a movie or anything.” Good point. No not really.

Delete that footage!

Officially official

Over the past month, maybe month and a half, I’ve been working on getting my iOS Developer Certification. It really isn’t a difficult process – just some paperwork and fees, but I did it under my corporation name, so there was a little extra red tape involved. So, after Apple confirmed that I am who I say I am and my company is who I say it is, I was granted my approval. I paid my dues and voila, I was done. Of course, I’ve been so busy lately that I haven’t had time to do anything with it, so I decided this weekend (yes, this holiday weekend) I would spend some time nerding it up. I downloaded all of my certs, provisioned my devices, and spent hours upon hours knee-deep in Objective-C. Good times. Good times, indeed.

So there you go. I’m officially official.

Otherwise, I spent the weekend pretending like I don’t really need to go to the dentist (I do!), and rationalizing with myself that this persistent toothache will go away (it won’t!). Alright. I’ve been down this road before. If you know me, you probably know that I have an irrational fear of dentistry. Well, not really dentistry in general, but I hate having my own teeth worked on. I finally mustered up some courage last year and went in about my wisdom tooth. I really need to get them all extracted, as I never actually had enough room for them, but I’ve put it off. Again, and again. So last year when it became critical, I went in. He agreed that we should remove it but decided that I needed a week of antibiotics first. He gave me antibiotics and a few days-worth of Valium (because even he can spot my irrational fear) that I was to take the day before and the morning of the procedure.

Well, after a couple of days of antibiotics, the pain went away. So guess who conveniently forgot to go to the dentist.

And yet, here we are again.

Dammit.
