Lexxie, December 2011

Lexxie was born on March 21, 2010. Although I was diagnosed with Cholestasis of Pregnancy again, it was a much less severe (mostly unnoticeable) case. Because I did have the condition, I was once again induced, but this time after the 38th week mark. Lexxie was born without any complications and didn’t spend even a moment in the NICU.

Lexxie is, by far, the feistiest one of the bunch. She has a rough-and-tumble big brother to contend with, and she always seems to come out on top. She knows what she wants and she will accept nothing short of her own set of expectations. She can melt the heart of every person in the room. She isn’t shy – in fact, she is quite bold. When visiting my mom in December, Lexxie refused to sit still in church. Apparently, she didn’t want to sit in the audience. She walked straight up to the minister and stood there with him. I was quite embarrassed, but she wasn’t – and he thought it was cuter-than-cute.

Zeus and Lexxie, December 2011

She is an animal lover. She can almost always been seen walking around the house with stuffed animals, which she calls her “puppies” and “babies.” When she goes to bed at night, she usually carries three or four of her favorite stuffed friends along with her. She has really grown to love her occasional visits to Build-a-Bear.
